富山市の市電環状化が間近！ Toyama Municipal Light Rail will become loop line pretty soon!!

富山市の中心市街地を走る路面電車の路線が環状化して市内をカバー。来る12月23日に開業となりました。
コンパクトシティに、また一歩近づくのと、これはもう、鉄道を愛する皆さんにも、ぜひ堪能していただきたいものであります。

そんなこんなで、新たに路面電車が走るエリアのひとつ、大手モール界隈では、通りに800本の竹灯籠を並べて、ろうそくの灯りで夜を照らしてしまおうと、画策しているとか。
One of are or loop line, at Ohte-Mall area, they plan to have event such as putting 800 Bamboo lanterns along street.

テクノロジーの虜囚たるGeekToyamaとしては、いまどきは青色LEDじゃねぇの？とへそ曲がりを言うのが役目じゃないかとご指摘もあるかもしれませんが、正直なはなし、もうあちこちのイルミネーションは青、青、青、青、真っ青で、冬の夜を更に冴えた青色に染めあげ、富山の冬空は寒々しいとこの上ないのであります。美を見ずにコストを見た安直な没個性化と冒険しない心こそが、我々の敵であります。
灯篭800本、手作りですよ！通りと真新しい路面電車車両が、あたたかなロウソクの灯りで、照らされるわけですよ！この素晴らしいミスマッチこそが、CoolJapanの真骨頂ではないでしょうか。
12月23日の黄昏時以降、大手町界隈の光景は必見です！

We, IT and high tech Geek, GeekToyama, should say not traditional Bamboo lanterns, it should be Blue LED, right?
But, most of light up in Toyama, those colors are blue, and makes feel so cold and make more deeper winter blue sky.
They are not focus on how technology make people feel warm, just focus on save cost of light.
They don't try to do something new, so they should try and pursue beauty of art.
Those 800 bamboo lanterns are by hand made!
New street and new model of Light Rail will be shone on by the warm light of a candle in bamboo lantern.
This Mismatch shall be a hart of Cool Japan.

You must see after sunset at Ohtemachi Mall Street on 23rd December.

余談ですが、中心市街地をカバーする路線の愛称はセントラムだそうです。
ところが、この名称、商標権の利用が厳しくて、なにかとグッズが作れないというお噂。
商標権がややこしいうちに、敢えて、中心市街地で、屋外ジンギスカン大会@真冬の富山！題して『セントラル・ラム』やりたいですね。
商標の前に、正式なジンギスカンはマトンだ！というお叱りをうけそうです……。

BTW, a nickname of this loop line is called "Centram"
However, this trademark rights is prohibited to use to third party.
We are not allowed to make Centram related souvenir.
Toyama city wants to control trademark right strictly, but we try to have Genghis Khan　BBQ （Lamb BBQ） part at cold outdoor in Toyama city.
It should be called "Cental Lamb"
Even before we discuss RAM, some one should points out Genghis Khan　BBQ　should be a Mongolian MUTTON BBQ, not LAMB.
